Introducing...

A Kids Book SERIES that talks about...

Book 1

DIVORCE: “All Families Are Not the Same”

In this book, Valentina finds out her parents are getting a divorce. Valentina shares her feelings and fears with Lucy, and with her help, she understands that no matter what, her parents will always love her, what to expect after the divorce and that this is NOT her fault.

Families can be living in different homes or have different dynamics, but that doesn’t mean they stop being a family.

GRIEF: “Where Did Grandma Go?”

Loss of a family member can be a very confusing and painful experience for a child. Valentina is no different. She loved spending time with her Grandma. One day, Mom has to explain that Grandma has passed away, and Valentina has so many questions: “Where did Nana Go?” “Is she coming back?” “Can we go there too?”

Valentina learns in this story that it’s okay to be sad, to cry, and to miss the person who’s passed away. That these are normal human emotions that everyone feels. And with the help of her elephant friend she is able to come to understand that even though her Grandma is out of sight, she will always be by her side in her heart and in her memories.

Book 3

SECRETS: “Secrets Don’t Include Mom?”

Valentina couldn’t sleep. She kept thinking about her friend Peter and the other kids that were teasing him. Lucy the Elephant asks her what’s wrong. “I’m worried about Peter. Those boys were pushing him around, but then they told me I can’t tell anyone because it’s a secret!”

Children struggle with the ethics around “secrets.” In this story, Lucy explains to Valentina the difference between a good secret and a bad secret. Good secrets are fun things like surprise parties. Bad secrets are things that can hurt someone. And if you aren’t sure, there’s someone you can always tell secrets to. Mom. Lucy lets Valentina know a secret rule about secrets: Mom is always the exception.

What Parents Are Saying...

About the Author

Claudia is an artist, writer, philanthropist, life coach, mentor, mother, and wife. During her career as a journalist, she has worked for magazines and television, touching subjects from parenting, forgiveness, and growth to political issues. She started her career on television at 17 years old as a actor, appearing in one the most popular Telenovela series airing in over 37 counties but soon after she moved to behind the camera at 21 becoming one of the youngest producers in her country where she wrote a manual that was later used to train other young producers.

After moving to the US, she worked producing shows on the Strip but when she became a single mother of three she had to put her passion for writing on hold.

She has dedicated her life to empowering people, especially children and women. As a life coach, she has helped people from different backgrounds to discover and implement the full potential of their own creative powers for personal growth and self-healing.

Born in Peru, she comes from a culture of taboos and beliefs that had not always empowered her to become what she believed was her calling. In the process of self-discovering, she fell in love with herself again and found her passion for helping others.

Giving back, paying forward, gratitude and kindness are her pillars for a better world and she credits them for inspiring her belief system and transforming her life.

In her book Brighter Days, she shares the tools she has learned to break beliefs that have stopped her in the past to create the life she wanted. Claudia has traveled the world since she was a little girl and is continually inspired by the diversity and beauty of human expression and experience.

Claudia lives in Las Vegas Nevada with her family, and her two dogs Boyfriend and Bianca. She currently is the Director of Marketing for a media company, creating, directing and editing TV spots. In her free time, she enjoys painting and sculpting as much as traveling.
